Our Mission
Knowing God, Showing God, Making God known
We will achieve this by:
+ helping those inside and outside the church.
+ discover and nurture a relationship with God through Jesus.
+ be part of Gods family, with people from all backgrounds coming together as brothers and sisters in Jesus to encourage one another, learn more of God and give Him the honour He deserves
+ become more like Jesus as we grow in our faith, develop our skills and use them to serve God.

Our Beliefs
Below is what we believe about different aspects of Christian life as we have found in the Bible
God:
We believe in the unity of the Godhead and the divine co-equality of the Father, the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit within the trinity. We believe that God is sovereign in creation and creator of the world.
Jesus Christ:
We believe He is God, a co-equal person of the trinity, the Son of God, a man born of a virgin, Mary. That He was the only person to have ever lived a perfect life in accordance with the will of God and that all His teachings, recorded in the Bible, are true and authoritative for our lives. We believe that Jesus physically died on the cross paying the punishment for all our sin, that He then rose from the dead, and ascended into Heaven where He intercedes for His people at the right hand of God the Father.
The Holy Spirit:
We believe He is God, a co-equal person of the trinity who brings “new life” to guide, empower, reveal God’s truths, and witness regarding our belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within our lives which enables us to be true disciples (followers) of Jesus and live as He wants us to.
Ourselves:
We believe that no one other than Jesus has lived a perfect life, that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard and are therefore liable to God’s just punishment for our sin, our wrongdoing, living contrary to God’s will and being disobedient to His commands. In ourselves there is nothing we can do to receive God’s forgiveness or escape the punishment our sins deserve. However, we believe Jesus provides complete forgiveness (Salvation) from all our sin and offers a new life as a disciple with an eternal future assured in heaven.
The Bible:
We recognise the Holy Spirit’s inspiration to the writers of the 66 books making up the Bible, and we believe in the Bible’s authority as the living Holy word of God.
Salvation:
We believe is only found through faith in Jesus Christ. This involves an acknowledgement of the sin in our lives and repentance, a conscious decision to turn away from committing sin and asking Jesus to forgive us. We believe that forgiveness is an undeserved gift from God – given freely to us but at the cost of Jesus dying on the cross in our place.
The Church:
At Manor Mission Church is a local gathering of Christians who are part of the universal church of God, a group of people who believe in the Lord Jesus and who desire as disciples to live their lives in accordance with His will and teaching. We also actively welcome those who are seeking faith in Jesus Christ.
Baptism:
Is by immersion in water as an outward sign, which displays an inward change within a person’s life. It is through faith in and obedience to Jesus Christ that we are baptised. It is a personal decision by a Christian believer who understands the significance of this step.
Communion:
Is conducted during collective worship using bread and wine as a symbol of the Lord’s body broken and his blood shed upon the cross. This observance is in accordance with Jesus’ teaching at the last supper, which He introduced as an act of remembrance until His future personal return in glory at the Second Coming.
Resurrection:
We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead and the fact that we will also be resurrected because of our faith in Jesus.
The Return of Jesus and Judgement:
We believe in the judgement of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ when he returns again in glory at the Second Coming, with eternal blessings for the righteous, who have accepted Jesus into their lives as Lord and Saviour, and eternal punishment of the wicked, who have rejected God’s love and offer of forgiveness.
