Welcome to 40 Days of Worship - our Lent reflection for 2022.
Each day has a different song selected by someone in the congregation, a Bible verse and a thought that explains why the song is important to them or how it links to Lent and Easter.
You can access it in a couple of different ways:
Option 1 - Download the entire booklet from the first blog post and follow it through on the PDF file.
Option 2 - Each day the song, verse and thought will appear (late afternoon the day before) so that you can just focus on that day's song.  This will also allow you to comment any thoughts that come to you that you think would be helpful for others to also know.
Either way, we hope and pray that this shared journey through Lent will help us to worship our God more in every way.

Day 15 - 16th March: King of Love

Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

I was ‘suggested’ this song by YouTube because of my like of Rend Collective, and it is one that I like a lot.  It pulls to mind the images in Psalm 23, where we’re given the picture of God leading us by a relaxing stream to refresh us.  Even when we wander, or are facing those dark times, our King of Love is still there to guide and comfort us.
The section that really speaks to me writing this is the chorus –
“Never failing, ruler of my heart, Everlasting, lover of my soul”
We’ve got a God who never fails.
We’ve got a God who is everlasting.
We’ve got a God who loves our soul (enough to die for it)
So what is our response?  Can we make him the ruler of our hearts?
