Welcome to 40 Days of Worship - our Lent reflection for 2022.
Each day has a different song selected by someone in the congregation, a Bible verse and a thought that explains why the song is important to them or how it links to Lent and Easter.
You can access it in a couple of different ways:
Option 1 - Download the entire booklet from the first blog post and follow it through on the PDF file.
Option 2 - Each day the song, verse and thought will appear (late afternoon the day before) so that you can just focus on that day's song.  This will also allow you to comment any thoughts that come to you that you think would be helpful for others to also know.
Either way, we hope and pray that this shared journey through Lent will help us to worship our God more in every way.

Day 22 - 23rd March: There is a place for us

Ephesians 6:10
To end my letter I tell you, be strong in the Lord and in his great power.
John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Marie has chosen this song by a Christian artist called Carrie Underwood who rose to fame via American Idol where she won and the first song she released was ‘Jesus take the wheel’ (which is also worth looking up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lydBPm2KRaU)
There is a place for us comes from one of the Narnia films and we’ve heard in church several times about the links between some of the narrative in the Chronicles of Narnia and the Easter story (especially The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).  There is a place for us reminds us that we’ve got a place that Jesus is preparing for us in Heaven, where our faith in God makes us belong, just as we are – clothed in King Jesus’ righteousness.
Spend some time today appreciating what Jesus has done to prepare a place for you to be with Him and God in Heaven.
