Welcome to 40 Days of Worship - our Lent reflection for 2022.
Each day has a different song selected by someone in the congregation, a Bible verse and a thought that explains why the song is important to them or how it links to Lent and Easter.
You can access it in a couple of different ways:
Option 1 - Download the entire booklet from the first blog post and follow it through on the PDF file.
Option 2 - Each day the song, verse and thought will appear (late afternoon the day before) so that you can just focus on that day's song.  This will also allow you to comment any thoughts that come to you that you think would be helpful for others to also know.
Either way, we hope and pray that this shared journey through Lent will help us to worship our God more in every way.

Day 29 - 30th March: Now thank we all our God

1 Chronicles 29:13 (ERV)
Now, our God, we thank you,
and we praise your glorious name!

This is George’s favourite hymn as we have so much to thank God for.

When my daughter Debbie was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) by a consultant in Suffolk, she and her husband Martin were told that their chances of having a child were very slim.

Years later, the MS unit moved to Colchester and Debbie’s new consultant in Essex told them, if they still wanted a child, they should start trying for one now but it may be a long wait.

One year later Abigail was born.

For this and many other reasons, I think that we should thank God. And if you’ll going to do it, you should do it well. So this recording with a full orchestra, choir and a few thousand people gives thanks to God in style.
