Welcome to 40 Days of Worship - our Lent reflection for 2022.
Each day has a different song selected by someone in the congregation, a Bible verse and a thought that explains why the song is important to them or how it links to Lent and Easter.
You can access it in a couple of different ways:
Option 1 - Download the entire booklet from the first blog post and follow it through on the PDF file.
Option 2 - Each day the song, verse and thought will appear (late afternoon the day before) so that you can just focus on that day's song.  This will also allow you to comment any thoughts that come to you that you think would be helpful for others to also know.
Either way, we hope and pray that this shared journey through Lent will help us to worship our God more in every way.

Day 5 - 6th March: In Christ Alone

 1 John 1 v 9
If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us
our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness

This is one of Jeff’s favourite modern hymns and is one of the nation’s most used songs.
This song says so many different things which is probably why it is one of the favourites.  It covers our relationship with God, how through Christ we’re saved, and how in Jesus’ strength we’re able to stand in victory.
Where do you need Jesus to strengthen you today?  Like with our verse for the year, God wants to strengthen and help us.  So confess where you need to confess, and ask God to give you the strength to stand in Jesus’ name.

Every word in this song is encouraging ❤️ A great reminder of what Jesus did on the cross and what it’s results for us.

Thanks to Tim and all the contributors for an inspiring series so far. A great antidote to the grim news all around us.
