Welcome to 40 Days of Worship - our Lent reflection for 2022.
Each day has a different song selected by someone in the congregation, a Bible verse and a thought that explains why the song is important to them or how it links to Lent and Easter.
You can access it in a couple of different ways:
Option 1 - Download the entire booklet from the first blog post and follow it through on the PDF file.
Option 2 - Each day the song, verse and thought will appear (late afternoon the day before) so that you can just focus on that day's song.  This will also allow you to comment any thoughts that come to you that you think would be helpful for others to also know.
Either way, we hope and pray that this shared journey through Lent will help us to worship our God more in every way.

Day 7 - 8th March: Amazing Grace

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works,
so that no one can boast.

Put yourself in Jesus’ sandals.  You’re probably about 30, and your mission is relatively unknown, except to John the Baptist who heard God’s voice declare that you’re his son. Up to now you’ve been relatively normal, except at your birth.
And now you’re wandering in the wilderness.  No food.  No drink.  No one with you.  Well the devil shows up to tempt you, but no one helpful.
Jesus faith in God’s masterplan is what got him through those challenges.
We can face all sorts of challenges, and with God’s help we can overcome them and find his will in the situation.
Then once we’ve followed Jesus all the way, after 10,000 years, we’ll still be able to celebrate God’s gift of Amazing Grace to us.
